Prof. Chen is a computational engineering researcher working at the intersection of physics-informed artificial intelligence, nonlinear structural simulation, high-performance computing, and regional infrastructure resilience.
In 2026, he serves as a Visiting Professor at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), The University of Texas at Austin, from June through September, advancing HPC-enabled seismic simulation and city-scale structural assessment.
